Monday, 13 April 2009 07:31:39 PM (GMT) Internet Drama.
Arguments, confrontations and bullying often caused by trolls, quick tempers and
idiocy. A stupid situation that even the most sensible of people can find themselves
in the middle of. Often lasting days, weeks and even years no matter what the subject
and can happen on any community site.
Kupika as you know is one of the many community sites where drama happens daily.
Both publicly and privately and Kupika having no moderators to solve out any
problems (e.g banning etc…) the members are all on their own to deal with the
perils of hate accounts, trolls and arguments amongst strangers. This may seem
unfair but really it’s a perfect way to challenge common sense. If you wish to
have a friendly, civil community we all have to all be respectful to everyone to do
so. You may argue this cannot be committed because of those who cause mayhem and
disorder that you call trolls, hate accounts and flamers but really they’re only
partly the problem, the victims and “anti-drama fighters“ have a part in the
reason for drama too.
It Takes Two To Tango.
What I’m basically saying is that drama is only sparked when the drama maker is
replied to at the beginning and is continued to be replied to. In an immature
sense it's sort of like contraception. The egg is bassically the drama sparker, the
sperm comes to "attack" the egg thus creating a full on drama.
If someone says something that’s disrespectful, just ignore them. Don’t reply
to them. If they send you into a fit of blind anger, try to get away and relax.
No contact = a condom to that analogy I badly explained..
Also respect.
Given respect is gained respect.
