"Uh..um...," stuttered Lauren. "Y-yeah, I'm fine. Thanks."
The boy, who looked a lot like Ryan Kevin Jones, held out his hand. Lauren grabbed it
and she was pulled up. She picked up the grocery bag.
"I'm Ryan," he said, smiling.
It's just a coincidence. No way this could be Ryan Kevin Jones. OH MY GOSH, YES IT
IS, LAUREN! she thought.
"Yeah, I know," she said, then laughed nervously. "I'm Lauren."
"Cute name," complimented Ryan. He seemed to be in a rush. "Hey, do you know what
time it is?"
Lauren blushed. Then she nodded. "Uh, yeah. Wait." She took out her cell phone. "It's
He ran his hand through his hair and looked at the foggy sky. "Wow, I'm early." Then
he looked at Lauren. "For the next scene of my movie."
Lauren nodded as if she understood. She finally had the courage to ask him a
question. "Why are you up so early?"
"I have to, or else the papparazzi won't even let me past the lobby," answered Ryan.
"And right now we're heading over to the hotel where the famous Ryan Kevin Jonas is
currently staying at.." The two teens heard a voice that sounded like a news
"Uh oh!" said Ryan.
Lauren spoke without thinking. "You can come over my house and hide there."
Ryan looked at her. "Really? Thanks!"
Lauren then ran to her house, with Ryan quickly following.
They arrived at Lauren's house. Lauren opened the door and walked in. Ryan walked and
carefully shut the door. He closed his eyes and breathed in deeply, then let it out.
Then he opened his eyes. Lauren looked him in the eyes. It was like his eyes were
saying, "I'm so relieved." He must hate the papparazzi, Lauren thought.
"Thank..you so much," he said, smiling, finally.
"Oh, it's no problem," she replied, smiling back. She felt her cheeks get hot. I'm
blushing, I'm blushing, I'm blushing, she told herself over and over again. Stop
blushing, Lauren, stop blushing!
She walked into the kitchen and put the grocery bag on the counter.
"Mom," she sighed. "We have...a visitor." She felt awkward calling a celebrity 'a
"Oh really?" her mom replied. She trusted Lauren, and felt sure that her daughter
wouldn't let anyone she didn't trust in. "Who?"
"Ryan Kevin Jones," said Lauren.
Her mom let out a laugh. "A famous teenager? In my house?" She laughed again. "Thanks
for the laugh, Lauren. Where's the groceries?" She obviously didn't see the bag lying
on the kitchen counter. She stepped outside the kitchen and into the living room. She
gasped as she saw the blond-haired celebrity standing in her living room. Ryan Kevin
Jonas waved a small wave and smiled.
"Hi," he greeted.
"Awwww," gushed Lauren's mother. "You're so adorable!" She walked over and pinched
his cheeks. He laughed.
"Mom!" Lauren said, appearing at the doorway that led from the kitchen to the living
room. "She's trying to embarass me," she explained to Ryan.
"I know how you feel," said Ryan, laughing. He looked at the clock. It read 5:55.
"Oh, boy," he said. "I have to go. Do you have a piece of paper?" he asked Lauren.
"Yeah, I'll get it," she said. She ripped a piece of paper from her notebook lying on
the couch. She handed it to Ryan. He got out a pen from his jeans pocket and
scribbled something. Then he tore it in half and gave the blank half and the pen to
"Here, give me your number," said Ryan.
Lauren quickly wrote down her number. Then they traded papers.
"That's my number, call me if you want to chat or something. Or I'll instant
message," he said, shrugging. Then he grinned. "Thanks, Lauren. I'll see you later,
"Yeah," she managed to say.
"Oh, and thanks for treating me like a normal guy." He winked. Lauren blushed.
"B-bye," she said as he left.
