Bebe leaned against the cold glass of the window and sighed.
The window sent a wave of cool through her, and she shivered, but it didn't send away
the feeling of heartache.
She and Wendy saw Kyle and Rebecca talking and holding hands at the park.
"You know," Wendy said from the driver's seat, "You shouldn't let that get to you. We
were at a far distance. We could've mistaken any boy for Kyle."
"It was Kyle!" Bebe shrieked. "I'd know him anywhere!"
"Do you stalk him?" Wendy taunted.
Bebe paused. "...Maybe..."
Wendy shook her head and pulled over. "Ta-da," she said. They had arrived at Bebe's
"Thanks," she sighed, opening the door and getting out.
Bebe started to walk towards the door.
"Hey," called Wendy.
"Hm?" Bebe wheeled around.
"Even though I have extreme doubts that it was Kyle, here's my advice: You can steal
the asshole back."
Before Bebe could reply, Wendy stepped on the gas.
Stan called to his best friend.
"Oh." Kyle looked at Stan. "I thought you never went to the library." He sat down at
a nearby table and opened a book.
"I just need to talk to you," Stan said, sitting across from him. "So you and Rebecca
got back togehter."
Kyle's head snapped up to look at his friend with very wide eyes. "What!?"
"Shush!" the librarian said.
"Bitch, why don't you?!" Kyle called back.
Kyle hesitated. "I will," he lied.
The librarian glared at Kyle, then turned back to a kid she was talking to.
"I haven't talked to Rebecca in years now, why would I break the record?" Kyle asked
Stan tilted his head. "I saw you up in North Park, holding hands."
Kyle shook his head. "I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about."
Stan scowled. "You stubborn little bastard, you. You're trying to make Bebe jealous,
Kyle stood up. "What. Are. You Talking. About?"
"Hey," whispered Wendy, who had suddenly appeared beside Stan. "Are we going or
"Wendy. Isn't Bebe going out with Clyde?" Stan elbowed her softly, wary to not let
"...Yep!" Wendy caught on quickly.
Kyle's face fell. "W-What?"
Wendy and Stan looked at each other, not expecting the sadness.
"Ready for our study date?" Wendy asked nervously, trying to escape the sad area that
was Kyle's aura.
Kyle said as Wendy walked towards the exit, "You two got back together."
"Since we were eleven," Stan's voice lowered into a whisper. "Don't tell anyone."
"It's just that, the world just seems like they're trying to pry us apart, you know?
So we thought that the world shouldn't know." Stan grinned.
"Logic. Didn't know you had it in you, dumbass." Kyle grinned back, knocking on
"Okay, I really have to go now, dude. Try not to get too jealous of Clyde, eh?" He
patted Kyle's back and ran off, ignoring the exclaims of the librarian.
Bebe walked slowly, with her head ducked. She clutched her books tightly, as if they
were the only thing she had left.
"BEBE! BEBE-BEBE-BEBE-BEBE!" Stan and Wendy were waving like idiots and running
"If anyone asks," Wendy said very quickly, not bothering to take a breath. "Clyde is
"THERE ARE CAMERAS AND THEY WILL KILL YOU IF YOU DENY IT!" Stan yelled, then they ran
Bebe didn't know what just happened. All she knew was that she was scared.
Kyle banged his head very hard on his desk in his room.
"Oh, God, what have I gotten myself into?!" he told himself.
All he wanted to do was try to get Bebe a little jealous.
Just a little.
And what did he get?
Bebe was going out with Clyde.
Bebe sat at the side of her bed, thinking about what Stan and Wendy said.
At first she thought they were joking, so she shook it off with a nervous laugh.
But they did look troubled.
"Ohh," she sighed, frustrated, running her hand through her hair. "This week is not
