As Evan looked out the window from the passenger seat, that was all she could see.
Trees. Not in the mood to stare at a bunch of green things, Evan looked to the woman
beside her driving. Even at age 40, her mother still managed to be beautiful. Evan
was in a way lucky that she looked like a portarait of her mother. Except for her
eyes. Her mothers eys were a beautiful shade of green, while Evans were simply brown.
Like her father, as shes been told. The bad thing about lookig so much like her
mother, was that kept her guessing even more of who her father was. "Wash that frown
of ye face, Evangeline" Her mother said taking her eyes off the road. "I dont want
you pouting all year long. Social-ize" Evan rolled her eyes. Her mother recently told
her that she would be attending the rest of her school years at some bording school
with a weird name. She dispised the idea. "I still dont undertsand why I have to go
to that school" She whined. Her mother turned back to the road. "I know that this is
short notice, but Im sure youll enjoy this school just as much". Evan sighed and
opened her book bag, searching for her I-Pod. While looking around, she noticed a
picture. She picked it up and swalled. It was a picter with her Best Friends. Ruth
and Sarah nearly died when they found out she was transfering. The three cried for a
whole week. Her mother noticed Evans sad face and tried to lighten up the mood. "Your
father used to attend the school" She said. That only made Evan feel worse. Clues
were sitting every where she went, yet she still didnt have a clue who the man was.
All she knew was that his name was William Beckett. He fell in love with Clarissa
Aims 20 years ago. They wedded two years later, and had a child another two years
later. Evangeline Marie Beckett was born on June 14, a spring baby. Her mother said
that her father loved his family very dearly. But one day, he was gone. Evan never
heard another word about him again.
