"Mira walked through the forest, oblivious to a pair of eyes stalking her every
move. The shadows shifted this way and that, dancing, as if mocking her. She didn't
care. Mira walked on, accidentally tripping over a twig. She lay there on the ground,
not even moving. A single tear rolled down her ivory cheek. The wind blew and carried
one whisper through the forest. "Why?"
I woke up trembling. A cold sweat running down my face and back. I didn't
understand it. The eerie voice narrating my dream. The violet crescent moon that I
hadn't noticed 'til the very end. And then the question that was so real it seemed to
still reside on my lips. What did it all mean?
I shook my head to clear away any thoughts of that dream and got up to
get ready for school. My life had been completely normal until I turned 16 about a
month ago. Up to that point, I was just a normal wierd girl (if that makes any sense)
that had two best friends and loved to write. But then it came. My birthday. I was
hoping for a little outing with my friends, Shayne and Rachel, but I got so much
"Stop thinking about that Mira, it was probably nothing." I scolded myself.
Still, I couldn't keep the questions out of my head.
Walking over to my vanity, I took a brush and tried to cure the horrid bed-head
that cursed my long red hair every morning. Satisfied, I replaced the brush in my
hand with a pen. An idea for another poem had come to me last night but I couldn't
seem to remember it. My moonlight blue eyes kept focusing in and out as I zoned out.
Frustrated, I threw down the pen and got ready for school. I slipped on a v-neck
long-sleeved black shirt that had a neon green cat in the middle. I slipped on my
plad skirt and favorite boots. To complete the outfit, I fastened the brown dog
collar with a crescent moon charm that Rachel had given to me for my birthday around
"I kind of look goth but oh well, doesn't really matter." I muttered before
grabbing my Pirates of the Caribbean backpack and heading out to meet Shayne.
Sorry its short to whoever reads this but I can't think of anything right now.
