I just had the urge to write about what's generally been happening to me of late.
Dull, yes, but oh well.
I've actually written two pieces of fan-fic in the last week or so! Okay, they've
only been commented on by five people (small community on lj, you see) but the
positive feedback has made me feel very good about my writing again. I mean, it's
always nice to read that someone thinks that you have a 'very flowing style of
writing'. I'm going to start work on the third part of the series tomorrow, but I'll
need to either finish this story-line and change the characters of focus in the same
series (awkward but it's more than possible) or finish up and start a new fic/series.
I'll see what happens when I start writing tomorrow I suppose.
In writing related news, my first piece of coursework of English has been given an A
grade on the actual piece and the commentary. Good news for me, as I can set it aside
now and focus on getting the second piece up to scratch. First piece was a short
story, the current one is a small monologue for the radio on HIV in the present age.
I've done the research, and it's scary how little people are concerned with HIV
compaired to the big scare of the 1980's...
I'm still looking for a job. Thank all things llama related for the fact I get EMA,
and that I never have need to touch it - I wouldn't be able to afford christmas
otherwise. I really need a job though...
Parent's Evening at the college has brought to my attention my current predicted
grades for the end of AS; C grade for Psychology, B for Sociology, and A/B for
English but I've been told I'm almost certain to get the A providing I keep working
at the same level I am currently. The maths resit is a guarenteed C too; mainly
because I dropped from top-set work to foundation-set work. I hate the government for
getting rid of the intermediate set paper though....
Still obsessed with Whose Line Is It Anyway? but now I'm more inclined to pick Clive
Anderson over Drew Carey; I'm becoming more in favour of the British series than the
Anything else...? Nope, not that I can think of. Right, I'm off to kill time until
I'm needed at home - now what was that urban legend site again...?
