Dear diary,
I'm an avid writer so I thought I might quickly describe some of my stories that i
have written. I started writing when I was about five however my writing was pretty
terrible. I flatter myself I have an interesting and atmospheric style now however my
writing still has very very far to go (quality wise) until I get that best-selling
author title. !!

Probably one of my EARLIEST stories was about eight kids and four dogs. When I was
little I made the miscalculation that eight plus four was eleven so I called my story
the absolutely stupid title "The Happy Eleven." It was a mix of several different
books I had read--mostly Famous Five by Enid Blyton. The characters were Daniel,
Josephine, Janet (or Blackbeauty as her nickname was) Mike, Maria, Tom, Pippa and
Benny, and the dogs were Midnight, Spotsy, Goldie and Black Pearl. I tossed this idea
over in my mind for ages, I finally wrote a 50-page story (quite an achievement for a
chit of six) about The Happy Eleven, in a hair-raising adventure involving circuses,
secret tunnels and being trapped underground. Honestly it was terrible.

I wrote loads and loads of stories after that. I had millions of ideas. I wrote out a
list of titles which I could turn into books. I had stories about the little orphan
girl Rosalie coming to a home with a rather stiff old woman (I'd recently been
reading "anne of green gables" and I had stories about the family of Londoners who
lived in a vicarage, and everything. Most of them were badly written, but then I was
young, and I was learning.

I am now starting to write more sophisticated stories. At the moment I'm working on a
few novels, one about a young girl named May-Lee who thinks she is going to have the
perfect Christmas but it all goes wrong, one about a family of very interesting
people and their various stories. Another which is a spin-off from that Happy Eleven
idea but changed in many many ways and actually eleven people this time, although it
is not called "The Happy Eleven".

If anybody has any good ideas for a story that they think I might be able to use
PLEASE contact me, I'd love to turn it into a tsroy.
