I stood under the old walnut tree I watch the sun sets. Its bright orange reddish
lit the sky up and warmed my face. I climb this old tree once more and sat in its
watching the last rays of light fade into the dark night. The night is silent and
still, moments
pass into hours. I watch the stars from above and makes hundreds of wishes and then
each one drift away into the night. My hands tremble from the chill and my breath
cast its on
frosted image into the night. Laying back against this tree and remember the memories
our laughter that seem to echo into the night. The tears that feed this tree like
rain on a
September day. Our kisses the seem to make even this old tree blush, all drift away
the night. Silents is broken with sounds of insects and calls of the night from far
I slip from these warm branches and stand by its trunk. These days of summer
fade into my memories as I walk away back into the fields.
