For a story I'm working on I've ended up creating a separate world with three
culturally distinct countries, and a host of sociopolitical issues.

Gawd I love saying that. Sociopolitical issues.

So I have a notebook filled with national idiosyncrasies, and a invented religion,
governmental, and economic system but...

I have no idea what these people do for fun.

Someone want to help me a lot? I could really use ideas for fantasy sports,
games, recreational activities, even general ideas for dance styles if someone can

I have a handle on everything else for the setting, but no one will believe that this
peninsula could be real in any reality unless I have something about what they
do for entertainment.

Also, I just wanna say it agian- sociopolitical issues. Chyeah.

(Try saying it, it's fun. Sociopolitical issues!)

But seriously if someone comments or send me a message with an idea I use I will love
you forever.
And I'll probably send you some KP as well, since I have far too many.

..This is a fantasy? I'm of no help then.
Kirti says:   6 July 2010   210848
It's going to be. Or rather, it's a fantasy that's not finished yet.

Darn. Well that's okay. I'm sure someone can help me think of a game.

Oh, I'll see if I can brainstorm a bit for you, heh.

Sociopolitical issues.

Thank you so much! I've been killing myself over this, but appearntly
my creatvity is limited to sociopolitical issues. Entertainment is

It's just so fun to say, I can't explain it.

What kind of people exactly live there? They are very important in
deciding what they'd find entertaining.

For example, the Harry Potter series uses a sport involving flying
brooms because most of the characters are witches/wizards.

Well Dancing, Hmmm...
How About A Dancing Style Mixed Of Ballea, (Can't Spell), Tap,
Crumping (Maybe Some Gymnastics?) And Jazz? That Would Be EXTREMLY
Interesting And All Together It Could Be Named Something Incredible,
I'll Leave That To You =)

For A Sport, International Of Course, How About Flixer (Random Name)
A Sport That Consists Of Striking Out The Other Person On A Balance
Board While They Try To Shot Goals Past You, All In The Air, And Below
Them Would Be A Pool Of Sponges For Them To Land In If The Goalie
manages To Tip Their Balance Board?

As To Games And Recorational Actives, I'd Have To Think More XD

I don't just want to create a mash of other countries though, I want
it to be unique. (Maybe my standards are off.)

Huh... Well I'd need to know some details. What constitutes a "strike
out", how are goals scored, is there a point system, who keeps the
boards afloat, is it a team sport, what are the sponges made out of,
and what are the boundaries of the feild?
CrazyMeaghanJellieBeanie says:   7 July 2010   317207
Lol Maybe, But Unique Ness Aint Bad =)

Oh My I'd Have To Write You A Message Then =)
Kirti says:   8 July 2010   982939
I know, that's my point. Mashing together a bunch of preexisting
things doesn't make it unique, it's more like plagerism.

Okay, go ahead!
lunasan says:   8 July 2010   409507
Does that mean that purple owes blue and red for plagerism?

just wondering.

somethign the worse people might do is try to uppend or upset the
economic state of.. stuff. i.e., Throa and Tashir get an extra job but
rarely show up, and at another place, don't get a job, but work really
hard there ANYWAY so that the elderly man might get a docked pay.

Then I Wish You Good Luck With The Dance XD
Even All My Years Of Dance Practice Won't Let Me Help You.
Ohh Maybe If They Used Ribbons In There Dance?

That's A Good Question.
Kirti says:   8 July 2010   421467
In a way, since purple isn't a primary color. But purple appears in
nature, and was thrown together as an easy way to sidestep mental

You lost me... I don't have any idea what you mean with your other
paragraph. Sorry.

Ack, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to offend you. Just... Oh I don't know.

Haha No You Didn't Offend Me =)

For sports I'm thinking a ball slightly larger than a basketball that
they have to chunk into the air at the begginnng of the game. The
teams then take bats, slightly larger than the MLB bats
and....yeah,well, that's all I got!!!
‹Mad♥Hatter♥Love› says:   17 July 2010   300078
Oh wait! More on the game which I have decided to call Monocoly.
Okay, so they do NOT hit the basketball which is called the Mono, but
instead a smaller ball called the Coly. It's normally purple for girls
and red for boys. The object of the game is to avoid being brought
down by the opposite team and hit the Coly as many times as possible
in three twenty minute quarters. The score is kept by officials who
wear stars and not stripes! for as rules I can only think
of one. The teams cant be larger than thirteen people and if the other
team has less than that, you can't put in all thirteen members, but
you can substitute! Helpful?z
Kirti says:   17 July 2010   802585
It might. What does the mono do?
‹Mad♥Hatter♥Love› says:   17 July 2010   617934
It, uh......hits people?
Kirti says:   17 July 2010   587078
Seems a bit too much like Bludgers... Can you think of something else
it could do?
‹Mad♥Hatter♥Love› says:   17 July 2010   136903
It could.....oh, I got it! Whatever team has the Coly, the Mono stays
in their goal, kind of like a soccer goalie to prevent them from
getting the ball in.
Kirti says:   17 July 2010   595946
But if they have the ball, how could the other team score anyway?
‹Mad♥Hatter♥Love› says:   18 July 2010   861553
Stealing it....maybe....
OhNOES says:   18 July 2010   836691
For some sort of dance routine I was thinking something where they
continually spin to form a blackhole-like form.
Like a swirl.
Sorry, that seems far fetched.
Kirti says:   18 July 2010   496053
Actually, I like that idea. A lot. Thank you!
OhNOES says :   18 July 2010   505038
Oh. No problem. ^^
