Don't compare previous works with new works, especially if they're not even in the
Fullmetal Alchemist is a successful story by Arakawa-san.
After she finished Fullmetal Alchemist, she shifted gears into a slice-of-life manga
about life on a farm called Gin no Saji, or Silver Spoon.
If you compare the greatness of Fullmetal Alchemist to Gin No Saji, you're going to
be disappointed. However, if you stop comparing the two since they are two completely
different entities, you'll find yourself rather enjoy it.
Heck, I have no interest in farming whatsoever, but the manga is still so freakin'
funny, and the main character doesn't seem to know anything about farming either, so
most readers can relate to him.
That being said, it's not like Arakawa has completely forgotten about her success
