"How am I suppose to do this if I am afraid of heights?" I heard a
laughter from the distance as the two became out of sight; I shook my head in
I walked up the the dragon at a slow pace, fearing it would leap up and blow fire at
me. The dragon kept its head low and waited for me with extreme patience. It made me
more nervous, but I pushed myself forward. The dragon was humming a quiet tune, and
it was relaxing to listen to as it helped my nerves loosen up. The head of the dragon
lowered so I could climb on its lower neck to ride. I hesitantly grabbed the ten feet
horns of the dragon and pulled myself up between the two it had. I let the neck of
the dragon go between my legs, and before I let go of the horns so I slide down to
the bottom of the dragon's neck, its head jerked upwards and the wings of the dragon
opened from it's sides, letting the wingspan go about fifty yards. The dragon ran
forwards and flew upward, jerkingly so I couldn't get out a scream out.
My fingers grew numb in minutes from the tight grip I kept on my dragon. I loosened
my grip and the skin of the dragon wrapped around my thighs, keeping me securely on.
I mumbled to myself and tried to get the blood flow to return to my fingers, rubbing
them in circles. A burnt midnight purple dragon flew to us as we entered over the
clouds. I was still mumbling, not noticing the greeter as I was paying too much
attention to my hands. The skin of my dragon tightened around my thighs as it spun in
a complete circle, putting me upside-down and right-side-up. A small flame nicked at
my arm, but it didn't burn. I looked up, noticing the greeter wasn't a greeter.
"Damn assassins..." The blond yelled, dodging the flames of the midnight purple
"Go bother others, Yuiker." The bald one said, dodging the attacks as well.
Yuiker gave a long, loud laugh at that and continued to aim at them, stranding me. I
was alone by the time he turned his attention to me. He was dressed in a dark cloak
with the hood up, making it impossible to figure out what he looked like.
"Oh, young yet old, Dragon Tamer." His voice was pretty high, considering he was
supposively danger. I had to cover my mouth to keep me from laughing at it. He
frowned, realizing what I was doing quickly. "How dare you laugh at me!" His dragon
aimed for me, hitting me, but it didn't feel like fire. It felt like diving in warm
water, honestly. Suddenly, I knew what I had to do.
The flames continued to attempt to burn me, but it didn't. I tapped my dragon twice,
and the skin around my thighs moved away as I stood up on my dragon's back. The skin
returned, wrapping around my ankles. I could feel the mark of my ankle trying to burn
through the skin as it was hidden by scales. I felt power surge through me as I
lifted my hands above my head. My vision blurred. A voice that was not my own came
out of my mouth.
"Yuiker, you may not harm me in this body, and this will be the end of you." The
voice was commanding. And feminine. Add strong and sure of its self to that, too. My
hands that were above my head went down in front of me, as if to push something away.
My left hand was pointing towards the sky as my right was pointing to the ground. A
red glowing ball appeared where my palms connect. The ball grew, white showing in the
middle. It shot out, a stream the same color fire coming after it. By the time my
vision cleared, it seemed we were on the ground. I was off my dragon, who was yards
away from me with other people. I was held into sitting position.
I directed my attention upwards, where the arms around me connected to a body. It
was the blond. He had one hand on my cheek, gently tapping it to wake me up and the
other around my shoulders to keep me off the ground. I closed my eyes and squeezed
them shut, swatting his hand gently away.
"Stop... I'm up..." I whispered. He stopped tapping my cheek and I opened my eyes.
He smiled, then let me go. I fell back, relying on the support he didn't give me
anymore. "Oof!" I murmured as my head bounced off the ground. Using my elbows, I sat
myself back up. I rubbed the back of my head once I was in complete sitting position.
"A warning would've been nice!" I yelled as he was jogging away to check on the guy.
I heard his quiet laughter. My sense of hearing must've been getting stronger.
I stood up a few moments later, after I was sure my legs were capable of holding my
weight. My head was throbbing, but I didn't think it was from the head bounce I
received from being lazy. After the land stopped spinning in circles, I stood up and
walked over to the two males who seemed to be fine now. Well, the bald seemed scared
since he jumped away once I got close to either of them. I frowned. "What happened?"
I asked, sort of quietly.
"You just shot Yuiker out of the sky. With your own hands." The blond stated. "Then
you passed out onto your dragon. We continued to fly until we got onto school
grounds, but James more than likely crashed. Yuiker's dragon shot his dragon a few
times before he was shot himself. It did some real bad damage." The blond looked at
me, his eyes showing happiness after worry and concern.
"What does Yuiker want? I thought he was the welcoming comity." She got a small
laugh out of that from James and the unnamed blond who answered.
"Well, remember the only one who had your... dragon design was the most powerful?"
He continued, not waiting for the answer. "Well, he wants that power. He wants to
