Hurricane Ike Log: Day Two.Category: Hurricane

[[A day late, I know :P
Friday morning, I woke up from a dream. All I can remember is that the words
"Hurricane Ike" were uttered, and I snapped awake, like it was a bad dream. It was 7
something and I turned off all my alarms so I could sleep later.

At 8:30, my mom came in, waking me with a shudder. She had said the two words I
didn't want to hear: "We're Evacuating".
I dragged myself outta bed to find out where we were evacuating to: my bratty
cousins' house.
So, until 11:30am, I ranted on about them and patched things up and safely secured
the valuable things. I attempted to bring my Harry Potter books, but my mom caught me
and made me put 'em back.
On my bulliten board, I found something I HAD to bring: Dottie's name tag. I wanted
to keep it somewhere special... Somewhere close. My hands closed around the nail
heart I attatched to a necklace. Perfect. I added Dottie's heart to mine.

We traveled for 5 hours, coming to our destination. I saw the house and squealed in
terror. WE'REHERE. My cousin, Malcom came out and greeted us. Boy, he got skinny.
We were told that his parent's were getting Russell's car from the shop, so we were
stuck there with the Master Spoiled. GOODY. Made this evacuation a WHOLE lot better.
A long time came until Coleman, Russell, and Laura came back. I love Russell. He
actually puts effort into punishing the kids. Auntie Laura just spoils them and tells
them its okay.
[[Mind you, they are going to a Catholic School. Think they'd get more discipline

After watching my brother CREAM Malcom at Halo 3, we had dinner and they watched I Am
Legend. I had planned on sleeping in the den by myself, but I saw some parts and I
just got too creeped out. [[I'm a wussy, I know.]]
So instead, they knocked me around until I ended up sleeping with my mom on the
blowup matress in the living room. But before that, we watched Monty Python. That is,
until the power went out for 2 minutes. I had a feeling in my gut that someone was
going to turn up missing. But when it came back on, we were all there, present and
accounted for.
So then it was time to sleep.
WHOO. Best thing here so far.
Except the fact that the thing started deflating right from under us.
