Since it was still summer, no one was awake at 6 in Helena's dorm. She got up,
jumped in the shower, brushed her teeth, put on clothes and put on a little makeup in
45 minutes. She had some cereal and was out the door. When she walked in to the
cafeteria, Dan was already there, flipping through a cookbook.
"Hey Dan!" Helena said while putting her hair in a ponytail.
"Oh, Hey Helena" Dan said, quickly looking down after. Even with hardly any makeup
and a hurried appearance, she looked gorgeous.
Helena slid over the counter into the kitchen and flipped though the pages with Dan.
"Pancakes?" Helena asked.
"What? You've never made pancakes?"Dan asked, not believing it. Helena shook her
head. "Well then, lets make them." Dan said.
"Okay," Helena said. "In the picture, it kinda looks like a crepe."
"Exactly. A pancake is just a fat crepe."
"Oh, cool. How many are we making?" Helena asked.
"Well, about 600. There are about 100 students in each grade and we should give them
"Wow, thats a lot. For that many," Helena said checking the cookbook "We need 60
"I'm on it!"Dan said disappearing into the ingredients room and coming out with 6 egg
containers. "Help!" he said as a couple were about to fall.
Helena rushed over and grabbed 3 containers and they plopped them down on the
counter. This technique went on for a while until it came down to flour. A lot of
flour. 60 pounds worth.
"I'll get it." Dan said "I'll put it on a wheeling thingie."
"Okay, I'll help you if you want" Helena said
Dan shook his head and went inside to grab it. He came out with a huge bag of flour.
Dan picked it up (with difficulty because she was so skinny) and dropped it on the
counter. A huge cloud of flour covered Helena.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" Dan exclaimed not realizing she was laughing.
"Payback!" Helena yelled and threw a handful of flour right back at him.
"Hey," Dan said playfully "Mine was by accident"
"Oh sorry," Helena said "You got a little flour here" she pointed to her cheek and
promptly threw another handful of flour at him again.
