"Everyone," Said Principal Collins "We have a new student, she moved here all the
way from Greece. I hope all of you will welcome her to the school and to New York
City. Now are there any volunteers to show her around the school?"
Of course, no one raised there hands. They were all texting each other on their
brand-new phones their parents bought. Everyone who went to Coulter Boarding School
is loaded and everyone who graduates goes to an Ivy League school. Back to the story,
every student was being secretive about the texting except one student. His name was
Dan Watts. He was talking about the Red Sox/Yankees game last night. Unlike everyone
else at the school, he was a die-hard Red Sox fan. He was arguing about who was going
to the World Series when Principal Collins saw him.
"Mr. Watts?" She asked "You aren't talking over me are you?"
"Uh," Dan said "No?"
Principal Collins smirked. "I'm not dumb, and neither are you. So your punishment is
to show the new student around the school. Now."
Dan sighed and walked out of the auditorium, aware that all 105 students were staring
at him. He was used to it though, he was always getting in trouble. Dan rounded the
corner and somewhat gasped at who was standing there. It was a girl, although
he only saw the back of her head, he could tell that the dark brown hair didn't
belong to a boy. Dan always stumbled when it came to girls, much to the amusement of
his friends. He swallowed hard and managed to stammer "A-are y-you the uh, n-new
She turned around and Dan's heart skipped a beat. Not only was she a girl, she was,
well, beautiful. She had large sapphire blue eyes and a face to perfect it had to be
made out of porcelain. She smiled and Dan about melted. Only when she spoke he was
out of his trance. "Hi, yeah. I'm Helena." She shoved her binder between her arm and
body and stuck out a hand. Dan shook her and smiled back.
"So," Helena said rocking back and forth on her feet. "Should we start the tour?"
"Yeah," Dan replied "C'mon. I'll show you around."
