Last night for Father's Day, my family drove to downtown Chicago (we're not that far
away) and went to Gino's East for dinner.
Gino's East, in case you don't know, is a pizza place where you can write
stuff....well, everywhere. There's quotes, signatures, names, and dates on the walls,
chairs, lamps, even some on the ceiling. I wrote my name and date on the side of a
chair, wrote the date on the seat of a chair and my initials on another, and wrote my
name and the date on a napkin, then stuck it on the wall. xD It was so cool.
There was also this thing written on one wall:
"We talked about some old times
and we drank ourselves some beer.
Tom + Maggie
We thought that was soooo cool because whoever they were, they were married for 40
years and yesterday was June 19, exactly 40 years later!
After that, our car was brought to us (cool, huh?) so we didn't have to walk all the
way back to get it. But I said how I was looking forward to walking because I wanted
to take pictures, even tho I only had my cell phone. So we parked somewhere and
walked around by this river, and I used my mom's camera and took some photos. It was
A M A Z I N G. When I was younger, I never really fully appreciated visiting Chicago.
I always hated the walking. But for the first time last night, I saw Chicago as a
beautiful city-with many good photographic opportunities! It reminded me how much I
love taking photos and how much I really need a new camera. I simply cannot wait to
go back there again. (:
