I used "holidays" because it's such a touchy subject nowadays. (Quoting the AVGN,
"If you have a problem with 'Happy Holidays', then 'Happy Shut the **** Up.'")
I hope all of my fabulous friends had an awesome day today!
Ahaha! I got Spirit Tracks!
FUNNIEST. GAME. EVAAAR!!!
Honestly, I feel like I'm playing an anime. A funny adventure anime. The effects and
overall feel, even the way the mouths move when they talk looks anime-ish. Zelda in
particular is most of the comedy, which might sound kind of strange.
She DOES have a few stupid things about her though.
1. She's afraid of rats (Which is actually quite amusing when she's in the Phantom
2. She doesn't like being hot. (She mentioned that the armour is hot the first time
she's in the armour. She later complains about it the second time she gets in it,
when there's lots of lava and fire around.)
3. She just overall complains a lot. (She's a girly girl.)
She doesn't really do anything for you in most of the game except occasionally give
good advice. Only when she's in the Phantom armour is she useful, but that's only in
the Tower of Spirits, after you beat each Temple, and it's not for very long anyhow.
It makes me sad. *Frowny face*
The train I enjoy driving in, actually. Blowing the train whistle is fun too. *Pulls
the whistle for 10 seconds* :D
I also noticed a lot of cameos of characters from Wind Waker/Phantom Hourglass.
There's Niko, the small pirate who teaches you how to swing in WW who appears as an
old man and your roomate at the beginning of the game. There's Alphonzo, the big
hefty pirate who is your mentor as a...train engineer... (I still can't get over
that. ) Tetra makes a cameo in a stain glass window above Zelda's throne. Beetle
comes back after you beat the second temple, in a hot air balloon store. You blow
your train whistle to get his attention, then stop the train. He comes down and sells
you stuff. (Oh yeah, New Hyrule is apparently having an economy crisis too, because
everything is so DARNED EXPENSIVE. I need to buy a bomb bag before I can get to the
3rd temple, but it's 500 rupees! And I only have 300-something right now... So I'm
stuck until I find a good way to make rupees fast. ->-'')
One of my biggest gripes about this game is that it keeps freezing on me. And it
doesn't automatically save either, I have to do it in the item screen. I don't mind
that, but when the game keeps freezing, I HAVE TO GO AND REPEAT PARTS OVER AND OVER
AGAIN. I swear, I had to do the intro about 5 times before It stopped freezing.
Sometimes, it doesn't even get by the NINTENDO LOGO. I'm not sure if it's a thing
with every card or just mind, but I hate when I have to repeat parts.
The game has been surprisingly easy so far. (I guess with a E10+ rating, I shouldn't
be surprised...) But I've been playing since this morning, and I think I'm already
about halfway through the game, there are 4 temples, and I already beat 2 of them...
But now I'm stuck with having to get these bombs, so I'll probably have to go online
and see if any gaming genius' have any tecniques for making lots of money quick.
