Alright, so I went to school on Monday, ready to practice EQAO skills, and suddenly
I didn't feel well. The recess bell rang, and although my friends said to call home,
I insisted on going outside. I really wasn't feeling well, and asked my teacher to
call home. She said to wait until lunch. So, naturally, I waited.
My head felt light, my stomache queasy, and I couldn't take it. I went up to the
teacher in the middle of a grammar lesson and asked to go to the washroom. Of course
she let me.
As I left the room, I heard students saying:
"Wow, she's pale"
"I hope she's okay"
"She better not barf on me"
The walk to the washroom was terrible, I felt lightheaded and I staggered. As soon as
I got to the washroom, I leaned against the wall, and collapsed.
For fear of being seen crying on the bathroom floor, I went into a stall
and sat on the floor there.
I was so happy to hear a friendly voice; "Nicole? Are you there?" It was My friend,
Mary-Catherine. She helped me up and we walked to the other washroom, the one with
the good drinking fountain, and I drank for a while. T
Then I called home and it was finally over.
