Argh, teenage problems.

Tomorrow I have cross country practice 3:30-5:30.

I was also invited to a sweet sixteen party from 5-9.

Coming a little late would be totally fine, but I was also invited to a manhunt part
from 7-10:30.

I'm much closer friends with the people holding the manhunt party, and playing a tag
game is something I'd enjoy doing far more than a regular party, but at the same time
a sweet sixteen is a big deal, and I'd feel rude NOT going, especially since the
sweet sixteener invited exactly sixteen people. (I'd feel better if there were fifty
people attending.)

I'd be roughly an hour late to the sweet sixteen, so it'd be rude to leave early to
try to go to both, but if I left on time I'd only be there for the last hour of
manhunt and I don't want them to think that they aren't my priority, since they are
some of my closer friends.

Geh, I never get involved in drama like this... Advice?

Unless you really don't want to go to the sweet sixteen party (of
course you should do what you want), I think that your closer friends
would understand the commitment you feel you have made. Plus, because
they're closer to you, you'll have an easier time explaining the
situation to them and getting them to believe that they're obviously
still your priority.

WHY ARE YOU SO WEIRD. You said sweet sixteens were no big deal ;-;
Otherwise, what they said, but when you leave early people really
don't think you're being that rude, although I'd check and see if they
have any group activity type things planned in that last hour or so.

If i were you, i would go to both by staying at the 16 party for an
hour and then to the one that will be more fun. But, like the first
post, your friends would understand better than the other people.

As far as changes in a person's life, they're not- but some families
like to make a big deal about it. (She wanted this to be special
because she's Coasta Rican and didn't get much of a quinceara.)
