Here's the problem. I'm in drama club and currently we're doing a play called Hush
Little Celia Don't Say a Word. It's about a girl who doesn't talk much, she has
family problems, and there's a boy who keeps trying to be friends with her. Basically
it's a love story. Anyway, the girl who was supposed to play Celia can't do it
anymore and my drama teacher wanted me to fill in for her. I don't know if I should
or not. In a lot of ways, I'm happy that they want me to do it. But at the same time
I would feel bad if I did take the part. For one thing, I just joined and everybody
has been there a lot longer than I have. Another thing is that everybody wanted it so
if I got it I fear they might hate me because of it. Then there's the fact that
freshman rarely ever get leads, and I'm a freshman. I've never really acted before...
so even though she doesn't talk much, Celia still has a lot of lines for somebody
who's just starting out. Then, since it's a love story, there's two kissing scenes.
Yeah, it can be staged, but that would be so awkward... so I don't know if I should
or not. I need help guys!
