Short Tales From Within
This short story is now over.
There was once a small boy. He was born with a shame that made him be hated by
all. No one would talk to him as he progressed through his lifetime. When he was a
small child in Grade School, he would be put down to the ground with insults and lies
about him that followed. He would be beaten by his town's city officials for just
behind a so called, "outcast." One night, when he was about the age of twenty three,
he looked out the same small clay house he lived in for so long and said, "Why are
you doing this to me?" There was no response. He got angry and cursed the name of God
and everyone who despised him. He was furious, barely less than two got to tell the
tale of what happened after his fit of rage. That night, he gathered all his weapons
he kept for defense and lurked through the city. He broke into the houses of wife's,
children, and many others just on a killing rampage. All of his emotions had flown
into this horrible crime when suddenly, a tiny girl toddled up to the man. He looked
down at her, ready to strike her when she said in a tiny voice, "Are you liking
you're punishment, big brother?"
There was once a young woman who dreamed of having a child. She was not married at
the time so, she had gotten donations from so many people. When the time came for her
to give birth to her first child, she knew it was going to be a miracle. In the end,
the child died. She was devastated for many months after that but, she had to keep
trying. On her third birth, she had finally given birth to a healthy, young son. She
named him One, for just being one great thing in her life. One grew up to be a quiet
teenager. The woman was very protective of One but, he couldn't take being in a house
his whole life. One night, he decided it was over. He ran up to the rooftops of the
house they had, his mother woke up to the sound of his footsteps and soon followed.
She found him, standing on the edge of the brick covered roof edge. "Please, come
inside, One.." She called to him, trembling. One glared at her, frustrated and sad.
"Why?" He replied, letting his weight fall to the ground. His mother screamed in
fright. One smiled to himself sadly, tears rolled down his flushed and hurt face. He
fell to the ground with a loud thud, his bones in his body could be heard cracking,
one by one. The woman ran to her son, cradling his broken body, sobbing in his
fragile chest. One didn't care what she did, he just knew he was going to be free. He
closed his eyes and mouthed: "Keep them safe." The woman looked at her dying
son as his soul danced away in the moonlight, the mother watched sadly as the new
flashbacks of his soul replayed his lifetime he should have had until that very
moment. The woman sobbed and touched One's cold face. "They are safe... with
you now.", The woman whispered, laying next to her son's motionless
