I always thought that what I saw in front of me, was the real me. I’ve always been
a simple girl with a select group of friends. I was nothing special. What I
didn’t expect was for all of that to change.
My name is Stacy Gilbert, I’m 12 years old, and I’m in the seventh
grade at Hoggsburry Middle School. I and happy to say I have never had a
“boyfriend” in my whole
life, but I do have many friends! One of my friends is Gigiani Parker, (a.k.a. Gigi)
she is by far the funniest person I have met in my entire life, and is the only
person in the whole seventh grade who can make milk fly out of my nose. Another one
of my “friends” is Natasha Smith, who suddenly became popular after “hooking
up” with Kevin Dayton, the star EIGHTH GRADE football player. My third friend I
have known for the longest, and she is by far my best friend out of all of my other
friends (what a wide variety) and she is also the most fun out of all of them, is
One day I was walking to my locker when I saw the most dreaded,
disgusting thing in my whole life, MY BROTHER.
“Uhhhhhhh.....” he murmured, as I stared at him with my wide eyed
“What did I say about coming into my sight at
school, and especially coming into the seventh grade hall!”
“Mom said to ask you to get....” I cut him off right when I heard his
“5, 4, 3....” Right as I said the number 3, he dashed off as fast as
he could down the hall.
“Ha,” I laughed as he was running, right then Bridget came up behind me.
“BOO!” she laughed as I jumped up and squealed.
“Stop that!” I yelled at her, but under her breath she was still
Bridget was very beautiful, and was “BFF’s” with
Natasha. She has a sort of auburn hair color, and long legs, like a models’. She
also wore the latest fashions from our favorite store, 2424, while I was stuck with
hand-me-downs from my older sister, Kelly.
“Have you seen Natasha around?” Bridget asked
even though she knew me and Natasha weren’t exactly friends.
“ What do you think?” I asked her some what
“Oh yeah, I forgot,” Bridget said, trying to cover up
for her “mistake”.
Bridget and I walked to our next class, talking about
every crucial detail of our day , from locker jams , to
cheesy lunch dates that you can only have at our school.
In art, my last class of the day, Johnny Gram, the cutest guy in the seventh
grade, sat right next to Gigi.
“Noooo....” I thought to myself, I was so jealous, I
knew he always favored Gigi over me! Even though Gigi
and I are friends , we always fought over Johnny , but he
barely ever noticed me , it makes me so mad!
“What was that about?” I asked Gigi after art, when
we were on the bus .
“What was what about?” She asked me, making us
both confused .
“You sat with Johnny in art!” I yelled at her ,
somewhat surprised at myself .
“What are you talking about ,” She asked me .
“He sat next to me!” She yelled back.
I didn’t even want to answer back to her, so I gave her
one last look , and she left the bus to her house.
