When I listen to songs I have the habit of assigning them to different people in my
life. This one goes out to a few girls in New Jersey. It is really easy to apply
lessons to other people and to skip over myself. I want to yell at people "You're
beautiful as the wreck you are, why can't you accept that?" but if someone said that
to me I'd have the knee-jerk reaction to disagree. *shrugs* "Don't compare what you
do know about yourself with what you don't know about others." Everyone suffers,
everyone sins, everyone has problems. We see ourselves under a microscope and when
we turn to others it is easy to forgive flaws and to put them on a box.
"Yeah, but you don't know what I've done. You don't know just how far I've fallen."
You're right. I don't. But I'd love to hear about you.
*Edit: I'm sorry, I don't mean to exclude anyone. That would entirely destroy the
purpose of the song.
