Mackenzie: Never mind. *Mackenzie is reading a murder mystery book to research
murders* I'd better get to bed. Yawn! ...snore...snore
In the morning, Mackenzie woke up to the smell of bacon.
Makcnezie: What in the world?
She walks out to their make-shift kitchen. There was a smell coffee table with
three plates on it, a mini fridge that had once been in Nicholas' room, and the
hot plate Mackenzie had used in college. Standing next to the hot plate, flipping
bacon, was Jessica.
Jessica: Oh good, you're up!
Mackenzie: What's going on?
Jessica: You forgot didn't you?
Mackenzie: Forgot what?
Nicholas: Yawn... happy birthday Mackenzie. Oooo, bacon!
Nicholas had just woken up, because he had smelled bacon.
Jessica: I told you to get up an hour ago to help with Mackenzie's birthday!
Nicholas: *mouth full of bacon* Sorry.
In all the excitement, Mackenzie had forgotten why they had even gone to the
mall in the first place, for her birthday present!
Mackenzie: Aww, thanks guys. you're so sweet.
Jessica: It was nothing... although it would have been easier to do if Nicholas got
up when I called him.
Mackenzie: It's okay. Everything looks great!
Jessica: This batch of bacon is almost done. You guys can dig in.
Nicholas: Great! I'm starving!
Nicholas reaches for more bacon and realizes he had eaten it all.
Nicholas: So, the next batch is almost ready you said?
The girls start to laugh, and they enjoy their first happy breakfast
together since their parent's death.
