Part 1

“You did not!” A young girl said with disbelief and amusement in her voice.
“Lady Tirishia, you didn’t weave that tapestry with your eyes closed!”
The girl in question, Tirishia, was a tall girl for her age, 5 feet tall at the age
of 10. She had flowing brown hair down to her waist, and a beautiful tan. She stood
with all the dignity of a queen, being the heiress she wasn’t far from it. Despite
her age, many men fell for her. Tirishia was not interested in romance at all, so she
kindly refused all confessions of love to her.
“I did and I am quite pleased with myself,” Tirishia said with a grin. Her
tapestry had turned out quite well. It was a beautiful mixture of flowers, their
stems intertwining. She may have use a bit of her magic, but no one needed to know
that. “Take me before a truth-sayer, if you wish. I swear on the throne that I did
not open my eyes the entire time I made that.”
A messenger wearing royal colors ran up to Tirishia. Stopping for a moment to catch
his breath, he announced that Tirishia was to see her mother, the queen, right away.
When Tirishia questioned him as to what this was regarding, he replied that he did
not know, other than it was important. Tirishia thanked him and sent him on his way.
Once he was gone Tirishia excused herself and went to her mother.

“My daughter, please sit.” The queen said, gesturing towards a chair.
Tirishia’s mother had fair skin and black hair. She was a beautiful site. “I know
it’s a little sudden,” the Queen said as Tirishia sat, “But in one weeks time
you are going of to be trained as a knight.” Before Tirishia could say anything the
Queen continued, “Don’t protest darling, this is what’s best for our kingdom.
We need a strong female warrior, for girls to look up to. I know you are strong from
what I have heard of your many brawls with servants. You must attend this training,
and you must pass. If you fail, you shall be exiled and no longer fit to wear the
crown. Now go pack your bags.”

This is just the beggining everyone. Post if you want to hear more

Good desciptions of characters! But, a 10 year old girl and five feet
go together. When I am 10 I know I am going to be five feet or taller.
When you finish describing, I would start a new paragraph and when you
are going to start descibing someone, I would start a new paragraph.

One question: Is this at all based on Tamora Pierce's work? Because
she has the 'lady knight' plot going in some series, too.

It's inspired by Tamora Pierce, but it's not going to be exactly like
it.
