It started off with me hanging out in the mall with Lucky, but Lucky had to go home,
so I stayed at the mall by myself (this wasn't Peter Pond, btw. It was like some
fancy mall o__o). And this little girl, probably 10 or 11, comes up to me and starts
talking. Her name was Sarah. And she was really annoying at first. I found out that
her dad owned a juice bar in the mall, and we always hung out there together, and
she became one of my best friends.

mall though... strangely, all the stores had little safe hide-a-ways in the back of
their store. So, Sarah was still at her dad's juice bar, and I was at The Body Shop,
which was right across from it. And they were telling everyone in the store to go in
the hide-a-way, and to hurry up. But I wanted to wait for Sarah. But when I turned
around, she was gone. And they had already locked up their hide-a-way, and wouldn't
let me in no matter what. So I ran to the one next door, and they let me in. And
Sarah was there.
They had these old computers back there, with telephones on every computer. You were
supposed to use them to call your family, and leave messages for them and your
friends, incase you don't make it out. So, at the time, I was actually really happy
they had those. But thinking about it now, that's like, the greatest way to
make everyone feel safe, isn't it? >___>;
Then all of a sudden, I was at my house. With Sarah. But Sarah wasn't Sarah anymore.
She was Bobbie. And I thought it was all just a dream, then I heard this ticking. I
found out it was the TV remote control. But why was it ticking? There was a bomb
inside it. I yelled at Bobbie.
"BOBBIE IT'S A BOMB. RUN."
"OH, SHIT."
I ran into my Tita's room, and I was actually safe. However, if it were a REAL bomb,
that wouldn't have helped much. >___>;
Bobbie didn't make it. She was still close to the bomb. And it hit her. But she was
surprisingly okay, too. The bomb exploded and it flung her to the other side of the
room, but she was okay. She's only like 70 pounds, so I carried her upstairs. The
remote was fine, too... But it was still ticking. So I ran upstairs, still carrying
her, piggy-back style. There were bombs everywhere. We couldn't see them, but it was
like TICKTICKTICKTICK. Everywhere.
And suddenly, Bobbie was Sarah again. And we weren't in my house. We were at a gate.
A fancy gate. And it was just a bunch of grass hills outside of the gate. No stores
anywhere. No houses anywhere. And we had no money anway. Sarah was still on my back.
But there was someone with us. I didn't know who, but someone my age, carrying
someone Sarah's age. I remember talking to Sarah. Saying that it will be okay, and
we can make it. To anywhere. Somewhere where we'll be able to find food and water.
But she said no. She was tired of running now.
"What? Sarah, are you crazy? We can't do that!"
"I can. I don't want to run anymore, Olivia."
And she showed me a bomb hooked onto her pants. It looked like a locker lock
thingie. And if she used the combination, she'd be able to get it off. I told her to
take it off and throw it. But she said no.
And then I put one on myself, and she got on my back again. We walked out of the
gate together. And they exploded.
But then I was back in the mall, at the juice-bar. And I was older. Around 16. And
Sarah wasn't there. But there was a picture of her, at the juice-bar.
'Cause she died. From the bomb, but I didn't.
And I woke up crying.

Bacteria is a one-celled living organism with RNA and DNA. A virus is little more
than a section of RNA or DNA covered by protein shell. That means bacteria is at
least hundred times larger than a typical virus.
A major difference between viruses and bacteria is their method of reproduction.
Bacteria is a completely self-contained and self-reproducing unit. When the time is
right, bacteria splits its DNA and RNA into two different parts. Separate cell walls
build up around the two new bacteria. This process continues until thousands or
millions of bacteria has formed. This is how bacteria survives in the world.
But a virus cannot live or reproduce without a living host. A virus can lie for
thousands of years before contacting with a suitable host. Once a virus enters the
body of a host, it uses leg-like appendages to clamp onto a cell and a spike or
chemical coating penetrates the cell wall.
When a virus is living inside a cell, it replaces the cell's DNA or RNA commands
with its own. Their instructions are to make as many copies of the living virus as
possible. Once the cell is no longer useful, it explodes and sends out thousands of
copies of the original virus to the other cells.
Most bacteria is beneficial or harmless to humans. They break down organic matter
and harmful parasites. But the bacteria that is harmful the the human body like E.
coli and streptococcus, are performing the same functions as the less-toxic
bacteria.
Bacteria feeds on the tissue of the human body. It excretes toxins and acid
afterwards. These toxins are what causes the problems that are associated with
bacteria infection. When the bacteria is killed with antibiotics, the infections
clear up soon afterwards.
But most viruses have no beneficial purpose. Their main mission is to only create
more viruses in order to assure the survival of the strain. The deadly effect that a
virus has on its host is incidental.
When a virus enters a human body, it finds a cell and seizes it without any warning.
Once the cell explodes, the virus spreads to other cells, and the process repeats.
When the body's natural defenses are aware of the invasion of the viruses, the
viruses might already have control over vital organs and tissues. HIV (Human
Immunodeficiency Virus) and the Ebola virus are examples of what dangerous viruses
can do to a human body.
Bacteria is alive, which means it can be killed by some form of chemical.
Antibiotics are chemical compounds that kill bacteria by destroying their cell walls
or neutralizing their ability to reproduce.
But viruses are not alive, so they cannot be killed. There is often no treatment of
viral infections. The virus keeps going until the body can be successful on its own.
Anti-viral treatments do not exist. Either the DNA or RNA strand of the virus must be
rendered genetically, or the methods of breaking through a cell wall must be
destroyed.
