Thursday, 5 March 2009 04:01:55 AM (GMT) Eager for only personal power,
You killed the watch guards in the tower.
Closing your mind from their [gruesome] demise,
You slink back down the stairs,
Forgetting to search for prying eyes.
A child floats upon the sea,
[Gripping life so desperately.
Misery caused by what you should not have seen.
One wish you have,
To wake up from this dream.]

One girl is tired of the lies.
She looks for answers in the skies.
She finds nothing, [and the rain falls like tears.
I can only watch from a distance,]
Confirming her fears.
And now some things you should know about this poem/my poems in general:
1. I'm not very proud of this one.
2. I wrote this during math class [when I should have been paying attention].
3. My class was reading Macbeth around the time that I wrote this.
4. If it makes no sense, then good. It's not supposed to. It has a deeper meaning.
If you only look at the surface, then you won't get it.
5. Most of my poems are a collection of seemingly unrelated ideas, most of which are
actually from story ideas I have.
6. The []'s mean that that part has been changed from what I originally wrote down
on paper.
7. My poems often change tense, that's just supposed to add to the mystery of them
[actually I just kinda wrote them that way, the "mystery" thing is just my excuse
haha]
8. Please tell me what you think of it!
