 | Saturday, 14 February 2009 10:18:17 PM (GMT) Okay, no one needs to read this and no one will, probably, but I'm going to write it
anyway. Valentine's day is the most ridiculous celebration ever. It's just an excuse
for humans who are paired to eat each other's faces and rub it in the face of those
unpaired. However, I guess it does have it's merits. It makes the perfect
oppourtunity to ruin the lives of your enemies. Am I bitter? Maybe just a tad ;-) |

 | Sunday, 8 February 2009 06:59:08 PM (GMT) "Hey Alexander, it's your turn to guard Her Highness." Jacob, one of the previous
guards, said mockingly.
Alexander sighed and put down his meal. He had never watched over the High Priestess,
but he heard that you could expect to have at least half of your life force drained
when she woke up. As he left the brightness of the waiting room for the
all-encompassing darkness of Her chambers, he invoked his Blood Vision. Everything
was quickly outlined in red. He turned his view to the bed and stopped cold in his
tracks. Instead of red, She was outlined in the sickly purple of poison. It was
obvious she wouldn't last much longer, as there was only muscle left in her neck and
jaw, and even that was quickly disintegrating. Alex lurched to the side of the bed
and sat down, resisting the urge to drain the poison from her blood. Even to him, it
was obvious she didn't have any blood left, just poison running through her veins.

As the time passed and She slept soundly, Alex began to wonder where the other guard
was. He heard the door creak open and turned. His greeting died before it left his
lips. Stalking with deadly grace into the room was one of his cult's most deadly
enemies, a follower of Bastet. Her body was covered in fine black hair that took the
place of clothes, her weapons were toxic claws, and her food was the followers of
Hades. The Cat walked towards him, purring a sensuous music that soon rooted him to
his chair. Alexander was forced to watch as the Cat landed silently on the Lady's
chest. The Cat pulled back Cynthia's covers and revealed a stomach that had so many
infected cuts crossing it that it didn't look like a stomach anymore. The Cat quickly
dragged ten claws through the flesh and lapped up what little healthy blood came out.
The toxin spread in a purple wave through Cynthia's body, causing her to go into a
seizure. Sometime during the exchange, Alexander regained his voice.
"St-stop," He stuttered weakly at the Cat. She whipped her head around, surprised to
find him able to talk.
"Why?" She said, stepping off of Cynthia, "Kitty wants to play, and no one's here to
stop her."
She purred and walked toward him.
"J-just because you warped your Goddess horribly doesn't mean you have to kill
ours."
She hissed and made as if to claw his face, "We did not warp her! We fixed her! Just
like we're fixing your little baby over there. Our venom will slowly counteract the
poison in her blood. It will save her life, and give us the perrrrfect breeder. Food
and hunter all in one!"
At this point she laughed, a laugh that had nothing human left in it. She then
stalked out of the room, tail swishing behind her. As she left, her spell broke from
Alexander. He slumped down, unable to do anything else.
However, this was just the first of many visitors that night.

 | Sunday, 25 January 2009 12:32:19 AM (GMT) Too late. He's here! He's here!
She was blind! She couldn't see anything! The darkness clawed at her, and she could
hear someone screaming. What were they saying? It sounded like "He's here!". Wait,
that was her voice. With this realization the screaming stopped, and she felt two
very human hands holding her.
"My lady, please calm down. It was another prophecy. It's not real." One of the two
guards told her.
"W-who am I?" She stuttered.
The other guard answered her, "You are Lady Cynthia Alisha, head priestess of the
Order of Hades. You need energy."
With that statement the guards placed her hands over their hearts. She pulled the
energy out of them, and with it she could see. Not proper sight, for her eyes never Too late. He's here! He's here!

With that statement the guards placed her hands over their hearts. She pulled the
energy out of them, and with it she could see. Not proper sight, for her eyes never
opened, but everything was outlined in the crimson of fresh blood. The guards on
either side of her were quite plain, matching haircuts, military uniforms. The room
was empty of even a candle, for the Priestess of Hades must constantly be in
darkness. But she knew that was wrong. The darkness was dangerous.
With the Sight came memories. Yes, she was a Priestess. She had gone to sleep and
forgotten again. But now she remembered everything. With shock, she looked at her
body. It was outlined in a sickly purple, a sign of poison. She could tell she was
far too thin. Her memories... Yes, there had been healers. What had they told her?
Everything was so fuzzy... Maybe if she slept a bit...
"She's drifting again!" A guard shouted, "She needs a drink!" There was a sound of
feet as the guard fled the room to get her a drink. A flash of light as he opened the
door roused her.
Light, she needed light. She began to whimper and strain toward the light, but found
she couldn't move. The guard hushed her gently, and the other one re-entered the
room, dragging a toddler girl behind him. When he reached the bed, she felt the
child's terror wash over her. Everything sharpened with the intoxicating emotion. She
could hear one heartbeat, the rapid flutter of the terrified child. She smelled the
sweat and blood, and she could already taste the child. Her mouth watered in
anticipation, and she began to hiss. The child began to bawl, and Cynthia opened her
mouth as she drank in the emotions. She turned to the guard and barked out an order.
"Feed me!"
The guard was happy to oblige. He picked the squirming child up and placed her on the
bed. He forced the child's neck over Cynthia's waiting mouth and smiled as she tore
in hungrily. Of course, she didn't have the muscles necessary to eat the flesh, so
that was discarded, but the priestess didn't waste a drop of blood. When she licked
her lips and drifted off again, the guard disposed of the dead child's body. Their
eyes glowed with a murderous light and they tore the small body limb from limb. In
fifteen seconds there was not a hair left of the young girl.

 | Friday, 23 January 2009 05:59:31 AM (GMT) This is a preview for a story I am working on.
~
I have it! It's so simple now!
She awoke with a start, the answer to all the issues suddenly clear. In the inky
darkness she reached to her bedside table to light a candel.
And then she realised there was more than comfort in the light.
~
I know, depressingly short, but it gets you thinking, no? |
