Welcome to Prodesse Mater, an elite all-girls boarding school in the late 19th century,
the Victorian age. Students from successful families are welcome here to be
taught how to make their own in England as good-natured wives.
That's the idea, at least.
The girls at Prodesse Mater have no intention whatsoever of being lowly mothers.
They intend on being big, on having a place in the world because of their work,
not their husbands.
