Please. Don’t be fooled by the title! This stolen bird is a golden bird made of gold (well DUH) with green emeralds
for eyes! It’s very old and is about the size of a robin.
Here’s a picture of it!

I know it looks like a gold rubber ducky, but that's not importent!
Oh silly me! Forgot to introduce myself! I’m Kara Detecto!

This is my cousin Laura Detecto!

We’re detectives!
We live on a nice side of town. We also run the Sweet treats café, the most famous café ever. When we’re not
salving mysteries, we’re running the café.
Well enough with the intros. Back to the case. This bird belongs to Lady Lucksong,

one of the richest ladies in our town. She lives in a big mansion on the prettiest side of town.
A week before she called us, her gold bird (which was passed down from her family for generations) was stolen from her
bedroom. She and her best friend Lady Flowerspiral (who lived pretty far away, so she was staying a week.), were
talking when Lucksong’s new friend came to see the house. She showed her around the house. They went to Lucksongs
room at 3:45pm. But when she looked to show her new friend her gold bird, it was gone! And she didn’t touch it for a
long wile! She asked her butler and her maid if they had it and they said that they didn’t see it. The guy she hired
to fix the damages in the house said that he had no idea where the bird went. She thought that maybe she left it
somewhere. But then throughout the week, her things were disappearing! Then she hired us!
Her bed room was untouched when we got there. This is what it looked like when we entered.

What it looked like when we looked in another angle.

She kept the bird in a box in her bottom drawer. She said the box matched the rest of her furniture in her room.
All the windows in the house were old and in bad shape! No one could open them even if they wanted to! They were very
stuck. So it had to be one of the people that were there at the time!
Our only suspects though, were Ann the maid,

Gorge the butler,

Fred the mechanic,

and Lady Flowerspiral friend of Lucksong.

(Lucksongs other friend couldn’t have been the suspect. Too much proof against it.)
(I wrote this info down wile I was still salving the case) Suspect info:
Ann the maid: Works all over the house. A little over tempered and can get angry easily. But she isn’t a bad girl
when she’s in a good mood. She works from 9:00am to 6:00pm.
Gorge the butler: Get everything that is needed. Nice person. Seams to not want to work so hard though. Works from
8:00am to 8:00pm.
Fred the mechanic: He was hired to fix some old boards in some rooms and put in new windows (but he didn’t get around
to that). Nice. Doesn’t seam to care much. He fixed the picture room and the kitchen. He’s working on Lucksongs
room.
Lady Flowerspiral: A friend of Lucksong. Sweet lady. She was visiting the day the bird was stolen.
The reasons for being suspicious:
Ann: She was cleaning Lucksong’s room at 1:00pm, a few hours before the bird was found stolen. Being the maid, she
would know were Lucksong kept everything!
Gorge: He was working for Lucksong for years. He would know were it was. He could have taken it way before Lucksong
would want it!
Fred: He’s been fixing the boards in Lucksongs room for a long time. Too long perhaps. Maybe long enough to find
where she had the bird!
Flowerspiral: She was left in Lucksong’s room by herself during some of her visits with Lucksong! Plus, she was there
the week everything was being stolen. She was staying longer cause of being a suspect. Also being Lucksong’s best
friend, she would know where the bird was cause she had visits with Lucksong before.
Well, that night, me and Laura were going to get to bed (Lucksong had us sleep in her house so we wouldn’t be far
incase we were needed.) when we heard a quiet noise. We went to investigate!
We looked into the hall. We saw a dark figure steeling the pictures that Lucksong had hung up on the walls (Who ever it
was wanted the picture frames because they were old and valuable)! But before we could do anything, the figure saw us
and ran through a door! We went to the door. It was locked. Good thing I knew that it was an old door. With old doors,
you can pop the key out through the other side of the door. I took a piece of paper, slipped it under the door, then
stuck a pencil through the lock and the key fell off the lock and landed on the paper. I slid the paper back to our
side, picked up the key and opened the door.
The lights were on, and no one was there!
It was the picture room. All there was in the room was a old chair, an old lamp on an old end table and two pictures
on the wall one on the far left and one on the far right.
This is what the room looked like when we entered.

I told Laura to go and get the police wile I looked around the room. I look around and saw no way someone could get
out. Then I saw another picture. It wasn’t hung up on the wall. It was leaning against the wall next to the door. I
picked it up. It was a picture of the room, with Lucksong sitting on the chair. It was taken some time before the bird
was stolen.
What the picture looked like (without picture frame).

She was probably going to hang it up, but didn’t know were. But something about the picture wasn’t right. Or
wasn’t it? Maybe it was the room that wasn’t right! Then the police came with the suspects, but the group of
suspects was smaller then before I thought and I knew I was right. But I couldn’t tell who was missing cause of all
the police men that came.
They were going to investigate when I stopped them! I knew where the villain was hiding and who it was!
PART 2 IS COMING SOON! PLEASE WAIT!
