WHAT'S "TANTIVY" MEAN? i'm getting my definition from the international house of logorrhea. anywhere else, then... well, i'm still gonna keep this definition. |3 At full gallop; headlong. Tantivy is most often used today as an adverb, but can also be used as a noun (a hunting-cry), an adjective (swift, speedy) and an interjection (the sound of the horn or of horses' hooves). Its remarkable range of meanings seems all the more remarkable in that no one really knows the origins of this peculiar but mellifluous word.
