Episode 1: Alyssa's New School

INTRODUCTION:    Alyssa Johansen is a meek little girl with bright red hair and hazel eyes. She has thick black glasses
and big matal braces that barley cover her yellow buck teeth. Her hair is down to her jaw line and uneven. She is not
even close to the prettiest girl at her new school...Westbridge High. 

THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL:   Alyssa wakes up in her new home in her new town, Westbridge. She goes downstairs to have
breakfast with her mom and dad, Amy and John. She already has a big stack of pancakes and chocolate syrup ready for
her. She doesn't feel that hungery though so she skips breakfast and saunters back to her room, painted all orange and
decorated with bunnies. She doesn't give one thought to what she wears, she just grabs something. It happens to be
green overalls and a pink hellokitty tee-shirt. She slips on her orange Keds and her bunny bookbag, puts her hair into
two uneven pigtales and runs out the door to catch the bus. All eyes were on her...but not in a good way. She sits down
in the front seat, right behind the driver. The worst seat to be in according to EVERYONE!!! Once she gets to school she
looks at her schedule and sits down in art with Mrs. Porter. She notices a group of girls in the back that she assumes
are nice. She walks over to them. She starts to say, even though she has a lisp, "Hey Guys, whatcha doi..." She gets
cut off by Katie, one of the two most popular girls in the school. Katie says,"Were we taaalking to you,Geek?" Everyone
laughs, except the OTHER most popular girl in 10th grade, Melinda. Melinda winks and slips a "sorry" note into Alyssa's
hand. Time to switch classes anyways, the art teacher didn't even show up. Her next class is P.E. with Mr. Lowery, in
other words, her worst subject. She can't do anything athletic to save her life!!! And, to make it worst, there are the
popular girls again!!! Melinda walks over. While she does, Katie screams after her, "What are you doing do you wanna get
kicked outta the popular group forever?!" Melinda fires back,"I just gonna give 'er a hard time!!!" Even though she was
lying she smiles back at Katie lovingly. When she reaches Alyssa, paying no attention to the dodge-ball game going on
around her, she says sorry about earlier, lemme see your schedule. When Alyssa shyly held it out Melinda snatched it
forgetting to be nice for a moment, then continued her sweetness. Then Melinda squeels with joy,"Look, we have all the
same classes, Me, You, and Katie!!" Alyssa gulps and puts on her best tough face,"Is that Katie?" She pointed to the
group of popular girls. "Yep! Aren't they great?" Responded Melinda quickly. "Um...Yea." And Alyssa rushed out the door
to her next class, ELA with Mrs. Aiken. When will the tradgedy end?!!! She had just begun to feel comfortable when she
realised what Melinda had said. That they were all in the same classes together!!! All day!!!! Isn't that great...NO!
It's not!!! And, sure enough, there they were in the back. While Alyssa was in the dusty front. She fell deeply asleep
until that class was over. No one even bothered to wake her up. At least her next class would cheer her up a little.
Math was her favorite subject...but of course she got A's in all of her classes so it didn't matter. She was really
excited until she met the teacher, Mr. Yane. All he did was eat those disgusting, expensive, stinky little fish people
call "caviare". Well, I guess this IS a rich school, so they must have rich stuff, I guess. Boring!!! Alyssa's day
seemed like it couldn't get any longer. Next, she had sience with Mr. Shannon, what a bore....but she looked like she
was paying attention, when really, she was trying to hear the conversation three rows away. She non-chalently looked
back to catch a glimpse of the beautiful Katie, but Katie had gotten there first. Katie was giving her the "once-over"
and had a face of disgust. Alyssa just smiled un-knowingly and quickly turned around. The end of that class couldn't
have ended later. Her final class was social studies with Mrs. Hope. She liked that class a lot. She for one liked
social studies, for two, Melinda sat by her instead of the popular table. Looks like she made one friend today at least
so she didn't have to tell her mom she wanted to be home schooled. Well, she did meet Alina in math, but she didn't
count, she wasn't popular. She then found out Melinda was full of lies. She had yet again told Katie she was there to
bug Alyssa when Katie again threatened to kick her out forever, instead of saying she was coming here to be Alyssa's
friend. At the end of that day Alyssa went home with a spring in her step, her face to the sky and smiled. Something
she hadn't done in a very long time.
