"People in their right minds never take pride in their talents"- Miss Maudie Atkinson
Character is what you are. Reputation is what people think you are.
We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow
partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and
pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.
You only live twice. Once when you are born and once when you look death in the face.
Deep is a wounded heart, and strong
A voice that cries against a mighty wrong;
And full of death as a hot wind's blight,
Doth the ire of a crushed affection light.
The tragedy of life is in what dies inside a man while he lives - the death of genuine feeling, the death of inspired
response, the awareness that makes it possible to feel the pain or the glory of other men in yourself.
Weakness of character is the only defect which cannot be amended.
Every human being is intended to have a character of his own; to be what no others are, and to do what no other can do.
Personality can open doors, but only character can keep them open.
A signature always reveals a man's character - and sometimes even his name.
None of us is responsible for the complexion of his skin. This fact of nature offers no clue to the character or quality
of the person underneath.
'A clever imitation in glass casts contempt, as it were, on that precious jewel the emerald...'
Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear
Live your life and forget your age.
