O HAI THAR.
I'm Angharad, though most call me Gabriel. I'm a yaoi/yuri fangirl,
and I have the best, most beautiful, intelligent, kind, sweet and just
all-around amazing girlfriend in the world ever.
I'm also a Narutard, to be honest, though I don't like being one
because it's too popular and the fandom is full of 12-year-old
fanbrats. My favourite characters are Kakashi and Obito, though maybe
I prefer Kakashi. I'm not entirely sure. A few things annoy me about
the Naruto fandom in particular:
a) The Mary-Sues, obviously.
b) No, Kakashi is not a rapist. I don't care what you say, he has
never and will never rape Iruka, Sakura, Naruto, Sasuke or even
Itachi. Now shut up.
c) The number of people who are ignorant of Obito's existence. True
story: I was once absent-mindedly reading through summaries on FF.net,
and I came across this (paraphrased):
"did you see that scene where kakashis talkin to tht anbu girl? did
you ever wonder who the hell obito is? well im here to tell you that
she was kakashis girlfriend, and this is her story."
This was about two years after Gaiden came out. And anyhow, if Obito
and Kakashi were going out, Kakashi'd obviously be the girl. Kakashi
should always be uke, in my mind. ObiKaka is in fact my OTP (and
unfortunately pretty rare by Naruto standards), so I was pretty amused
despite the fanbrat's ignorance. My second favourite pairing is
TemaTen, another unfortunately rare pairing.
More superficially, let's discuss my appearance. I'm pretty short (161
cm, which is about... 5 foot four/five-ish, I think) and apparently
light (47 kg, which is 7 stone something I think). I wear glasses and
my hair looks like a tumbleweed landed on my head.
Again rather superficially, if I had to stereotype myself [insert
mildly witty but overused cliche about labelling here] I guess I'm
most like a nerd. I spend a lot of time in the school library, but
that's really because it rains a lot here in Wales and so I'd rather
stay inside. If it's OK weather I'll go out, and then I usually hang
out with the rocker/stoner crowd. I do like reading though; you may
have noticed (if so, please marry me) that my username, Glorfindel, is
also the name of a character from Lord of the Rings. In the film he
was replaced by Arwen, but I don't really mind because his character
would inevitably have been massacred by PJ. Look at what happened to
Haldir, for example. Or even Gimli - he became nothing more than comic
relief. Lord of the Rings isn't actually my favourite book though,
although it is pretty awesome: for a while now I've been in love with
Monstrous Regiment by Terry Pratchett. Other nerdy interests include
Star Trek (but only the original series), Sherlock Holmes and
I have other interests too though, of course. I enjoy drawing but my
main interest is music. Apart from listening to it almost permanently,
I also play a few instruments. I have a guitar (Spanish acoustic), but
I can only play a few chords so it really just stands there and looks
pretty. I started playing violin when I was 7 and finally quit at the
age of 12, when I realised "hold on a second, I frickin' hate the
violin!". Between the ages of 11 and 13 I played piano, but quit after
a while. I still play occasionally but my hands are tiny so I'm pretty
rubbish at chords (as well as just not being able to play). Since I
was 11 I've also been playing saxophone - I started on alto but now I
play tenor too. Alto's my favourite and I'm better at it, but then
again tenor's pretty fun too. If I do say so myself, I'm fairly good
at saxophone... I passed Jazz Grades 1 and 2 (equivalent to Classical
Grades 3 and 4) with pretty high marks (Distinction and Merit, if I
remember correctly) a few years ago, and if I get time I'll do
Classical 5 this November.
I also love listening to music, especially rock. I like almost all
music except most rap (Linkin Park and Fort Minor are OK), hip-hop and
modern pop such as Britney, Rihanna and their kind.
My favourite genres, however, are rock and country. My favourite bands
are currently Alice Cooper, Motley Crue and The Offspring. I have an
especially soft spot for 70s-80s rock of their like and I don't care
what you say but I love Bon Jovi in all their corniness.
Er, I think that's more than enough about me now. Over and out.
