~When the Earth is sad~
"Even when the Earth is sad, It’s beautiful.
When the sky cries, Frozen tears sting your skin, And sing the tale of
woe As they chime on tile.
When the earth cracks, And molten heat; Copper blood bleeding, From
fissured veins, Steams with rage And tidal furies, Scour the shores,
The land reborn; Reshaped, remoulded, Revenged.
Even when the world is ugly, When nature has to have her way, The
beauty wound around her power, Will snatch your breath away, And pool
in your stomach, Constricting your core, Winding her way, Between your
atoms, Reminding you, That you are but, The smallest part; Of her
world; Yet that she lends the beat to your heart."
I did not write this.
